Sensepoint XCD now has remote monitoring capabilities for its toxic and Oxygen sensors. Its remote capability is designed to offer excellent flexibility of use and is an ideal solution for hard-to-reach locations or areas where the transmitter needs to be separate from the sensor. With remote toxic and Oxygen sensor mounting of up to 100 feet (30m) away from the transmitter, Sensepoint XCD provides a robust monitoring solution even in challenging environments where detection is difficult, including applications where the point of detection is in an area that is not easily accessible or where the detector would not be visible, like in high or low level concealed areas or outside a room being monitored.

Sensepoint XCD is easy to use. The sensor simply plugs into the bottom of the transmitter and the transmitter automatically configures itself accordingly. Users can modify detector operation using the LCD and magnet switches without ever needing to open the unit. This enables one-man, non-intrusive operation and reduces routine maintenance time and costs.  A tri-color backlit LCD clearly indicates the unit’s status at a glance, even from a distance. A steady green backlight indicates normal operation, flashing yellow indicates fault and flashing red indicates an alarm.

XNX’s advantage comes from a simple-to-use, low-maintenance universal platform that works with other safety equipment on a digital bus system, including Honeywell Analytics’ own Searchline Excel, Optima or other gas detectors, industry standard PLCs and third-party gas monitoring controllers.

XNX supports Electrochemical, Infrared and Catalytic Bead gas monitors and uses standard 4-20mA wiring and HART; options include Modbus, Fieldbus (pending) up to three relays and a local Hart Adapter for configuration and diagnostics using existing HART handheld devices.

With 200+ unique configurations, XNX satisfies Class 1/Class 2 intrinsically safe, explosion-proof requirements in upstream/downstream oil, chemical, wastewater and other industries.

The fundamental design of Searchline Excel has remained the same since its original launch and it continues to lead the field.

Searchline Excel is totally immune to interference from sunlight or any other sources of radiation such as flare stacks, arc welding or lightning.

The patented optical design used in Searchline Excel has proven itself as the only solution available that fully addresses all the challenges of open path gas detection. Unlike some competitive devices, it does not try to hide fundamental design inadequacy with the use of software masks that can compromise the unit’s ability to detect gas.

Searchline Excel employs a patented double band pass filter that fully compensates for all types of fog and / or rain, thereby allowing it to continue to operate accurately and reliably in all climatic conditions.

The Optima Excel Local Display (OELD) is a smart junction box for the Searchpoint Optima Plus and Searchline Excel infrared detectors for flammable hydrocarbons. In addition to providing a 4-to-20 mA communications bridge between the detector and controller, gas sensor local display includes an LCD screen for readout and status information, a “traffic light” indicator for at-a-glance detector status, and Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) connectivity for simplified, nonintrusive maintenance. Just pair the OELD with our intrinsically safe, ruggedized smartphone; then use the OELD smartphone app to interact with the gas detector from up to 10 meters away.

The intrinsically safe smart sensors are supplied pre-configured and can be ‘hot swapped’ without having to remove power to the detector, saving time and money during commissioning and routine servicing. A remote sensor mounting kit is available that allows the sensor to be mounted up to 15m from the transmitter, making it ideal for operation in areas that are difficult to access.

Series 3000 MkII is supplied with all necessary accessories for easy installation. The detector can be mounted on a wall or support pole using the universal bracket provided. Electrical installation can be made using either conduit or cable with suitable mechanical protection.

A robust and reliable gas-leak detection device, Searchzone Sonik will efficiently “hear” the loss of containment of any high-pressure gas within its listening zone. As it responds to the ultrasonic sound pressure level produced by pressurized gas leaks, it is therefore unaffected by environmental conditions.

Searchzone Sonik is factory calibrated. Its robust sealed design with no moving parts and the advanced solid-state sensor allow for mounting in any orientation, even in the harshest environments. The acoustic gas leak detector will respond quickly to a gas leak within a sensing range radius of typically 20m (65 ft), dependent upon background noise.

The RAEGuard 2 PID has a graphic display and LED light status indicator for fault and alarm conditions. In addition, Low, High, and Fault relays can be configured to trigger external alarms or process controls. Over 200 correction factors are pre-programmed, and allow users to display readings of a specific target gas. A magnetic key interface enables the detector to be calibrated and operational parameters adjusted with the explosion-proof enclosure in place.

Everything you need for installation is in the box, organized for fast, convenient startup. Use our simple drilling templates and a standard toolkit for installation. And for initial calibration, all you need is our gas detector app on your smartphone and a cylinder of calibration gas — no need for walkie-talkie guidance with the control room. Use the app to create a profile for the detector, choose alarm set points, run test procedures and automatically generate a commissioning report, which you can send from your phone to other stakeholders or store for easy access in a safety inspection. No need for paperwork.
