All hazardous (Ex) sites need to be prepared for a number of different emergencies. These vary between industries, whether you’re in oil and gas, mining, defence or petrochemicals.

RFID Tracking – track, monitor and respond in real time

RFID stands for radio-frequency identification, which is a system of identifying distinct objects by wireless non-contact radio waves to transmit information from a tag to a reader. The objective is to identify and track tags attached to objects.

Use Case

Worker safety management is used to track personnel, enabling workers to call for help in an emergency so they can be quickly and efficiently located. The solution offers multiple advanced location techniques, two-way notification, man-down, no motion and is certified for hazardous and non-hazardous environments.

Asset management is the most common application of RFID tracking. Used to track high-value assets, it enables companies to gather data on their location quickly and with minimal manual intervention, or none at all. Tagging assets allows companies to evaluate their asset utilisation, drive operation efficiencies based on location identification, automate maintenance routines and reduce shrinkage and rental costs.
