PIP-003 ASD Barrel Union

The PIP‑003 ASD Barrel Union is a specialised fitting used in aspirated smoke detection (ASD) pipe networks to create a secure, yet serviceable, connection between two sections of 25 mm rigid pipe. It provides a strong bond while allowing future disassembly, making it ideal for systems where access, maintenance, or system expansion may be required.

This fitting is often installed near ASD detectors, sampling modules, or in sections of pipe that may need to be separated for flushing, cleaning, or adjustment. Made from flame retardant red ABS plastic, it is designed to withstand a wide temperature range and is fully compatible with ASD systems used in commercial, industrial, and infrastructure applications.

Each end of the union accepts a standard 25 mm pipe and is installed using solvent cement. The central threaded barrel body enables the two halves to be unscrewed later if required—without cutting the pipe. This makes the PIP‑003 a practical choice in modular or changeable environments.
